Staying felt like living in a luxurious museum, surrounded by serene gardens that enhanced the atmosphere. The staff promptly secured dinner reservations, and the evening wine gathering in the front room created a lovely social ambiance. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious bread toasts that set a perfect tone for the day. The neighborhood's charm is also noteworthy, offering delightful walks to nearby restaurants.

Charming atmosphere with beautiful gardens. The staff at reception greeted me warmly, creating an inviting first impression. Once inside, I noticed the historical design of the mansion, showcasing its rich history. My room felt spacious and offered a comfortable bed. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the bright solarium. the food was delightful and satisfied my appetite. However, the amenities need attention. The lack of a refrigerator in the room felt inconvenient. On my second night, the air conditioning struggled to cool the room properly. I also faced noise disruptions from an event happening on-site, which made it hard to relax. The shared coffee station on the second floor looked messy at times, needing better upkeep. The front desk staff appeared busy and left me waiting for assistance, diminishing my overall experience. Wildly impressed with the gardens but disappointed with some of the service and attention to detail throughout my stay.

The Duke Mansion boasts stunning grounds and a charming atmosphere that makes it feel special, with lovely rooms and friendly staff. However, the breakfast lacked variety, and the cleaning could be improved in some areas. Still, it’s a great choice for a unique stay in Charlotte.

Perfect for a retreat with southern charm
The grounds were fine, just like walking through a paradise with beautiful gardens everywhere. And the breakfast was to die for, nothing compares to that sweet southern hospitality in the morning.
It wasn’t inexpensive but totally worth it.
